To demonstrate this we went to Winter XGames in Aspen, Colorado to meet up with 2 extreme athletes and tell their stories about how technology has played a vital role in both their careers and personal lives.
Tom owes much of his success to social media thanks to the ability to quickly post and share videos online. Here he talks about his humble beginnings, his advances in recording tricks, and encouraging budding amateurs to go out and try to #makeithappen for themselves using the technologies so readily available these days.
After suffering injuries in the long road to Sochi, Brita, not only made a full recovery, she qualified for the Olympics. Here she talks about the trials and tribulations of injuries and how she kept herself connected, entertained, and motivated during her time away from the slopes. We celebrate her strong will and ambition to #makeithappen, whatever the odds.
Due to the sporadic timing of the events we weren't locked on athletes until days before the shoot. So we had to create a flexible story outline that could pivot once we knew more information. My role was creative lead, interviewer, director on set, as well as worked side by side with the editor to create these 2 minute stories from an hour's worth of footage.
